- 1The bot trades its own account
Every weekday it checks 28 NSE stocks and ETFs. Once a week it rebalances into the strongest steady trends. Every fill is charged real brokerage, STT, stamp duty and GST.
- 2You start a virtual copy, any time
Pick an amount. Your copy starts at the bot's value this second and moves exactly as the bot does from then on. It is stored in your browser only.
- 3Reset whenever you like
Resetting starts a fresh copy from today. The old one goes into your history with the profit or loss it reached, so you can compare your starts.
- 4Mirror it for real, if you choose
Turn on alerts to hear about each trade, then decide yourself in your own broker app. The bot never touches your money.
It's the honest way to judge a bot: start any day and watch what really happens next.
How it works: no black box
The rules, in plain English
The price must be above its 50-day average, the 50-day above the 200-day, and the 3- and 6-month returns positive.
Returns over 1, 3 and 6 months, divided by volatility. A steady climber beats a wild one.
At most 2 per sector and 25% per name. Calmer names get more money (inverse-volatility sizing).
If the Nifty 50 drops below its 200-day average, only 50% goes into stocks. Gold can take a slice; the rest waits in cash.
Checked every 15 minutes during market hours. A holding that falls that far below its average cost is sold.
It rebalances once a week and skips small top-ups. Every trade pays STT, stamp duty, brokerage and GST, so churn loses money.
Is it real? How to check
- One account, one ledger. The value, chart, holdings, trades, game and your copy all read the same snapshot. There are no separate backtests on this page.
- Unit accounting (like a mutual fund NAV). It starts at 100. Money added later buys units at the current NAV, so deposits never count as profit.
- Costs are charged on every fill: brokerage (₹20 or 0.1%), STT, NSE fees, stamp duty, GST and DP charges. Paper fills also get 0.05% slippage.
- Live mode places real CNC orders through the Groww Trade API. Each trade shows a masked Groww order ID. Until then the badge says paper money.
- Prices: Yahoo Finance NSE quotes (may be delayed ~15 min) and Groww's live prices when connected.
What it is not
- It's a rules-based algorithm, not a crystal ball. Trend-following lags at turning points and loses money in choppy markets.
- A few months of results prove very little, good or bad. Judge it over years and against the Nifty line on the chart.
- Your real copy would differ a little: whole-share rounding, your own charges, your tax slab, and the delay between an alert and your order.
- The tax shown is an estimate (20% short-term, 12.5% long-term capital gains; the ₹1.25 lakh exemption is ignored).
Important
MoneyMap shows one person's own trading account, run by an algorithm, for education and transparency. It is not investment advice, a recommendation, a research report or an offer to manage money. Nobody's money but the owner's is traded. Investments in securities are subject to market risks. Past performance does not indicate future returns. Do your own research, or consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser, before investing.
Why the delay? Under SEBI's Research Analyst rules, publishing live buy/sell calls for others to follow can require registration. Until the owner has one, individual trades and holdings are published 90 days after they happen. The bot's value and performance are always live.
